While Heffer’s body was thinner than ever, her mother noticed a weird mark on her daughters’ stomach that grabbed her attention. You know, mother’s instinct. Whether you believe in it or not, it definitely applies here. After her mother noticed the mark, she couldn’t stop asking Saffron questions. Heffer was becoming confused, she had no suspicions and was sure her mom was being overprotective. Heffer did not see a reason to be alarmed.

After going back and forth with her mom about the mark, her mother made an unusual request. She told her daughter that she must take a pregnancy test. A million thoughts went through Heffer’s mind. She did not understand why her mother told her to do this and she was starting to get overwhelmed. She was on the pill and her stomach was flatter than ever, so how could she be pregnant? She knew it was impossible, but decided to take a test to put her mother’s persistence to rest.
