The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) show was held a little differently this year. The award show was pre-taped and did not have a banquet or red carpet event but rather had a docu-series feel when it came to the “I Am An Actor” stories. The winners in 13 different categories were announced and the best part is the stars still dressed up and showcased their fits, just in an unusual way…
Viola Davis
The chartreuse colored gown was designed by the French fashion house, Louis Vuitton. The dress was a combination of two sketches that were in the end combined. The embroidery itself took more than 140 hours as there are more than 10,000 gold and silver metallic sequins that had to be bonded together. Davis looked stunning and took home the award for outstanding performance by a female actress in a leading role.
Emma Corrin
Emma Corrin has gone for some rather unusual red carpet looks and likes to play a character even on the red carpet it seems. For the SAG awards, she went with a collaged Prada dress which symbolized a collage of personas with all its aspects. Grey satin lace which represents the 1920’s, French blue sleeves, and an apron pleated skirt of Scottish influence. She paired the dress with chunky boots.
