Selleck was sued in 2015 by the Calleguas Municipal Water District, back by allegations about the illegally brought water to the avocado farm. Investigations show that Selleck’s farm used a tanker truck from a neighboring district, just after it was filled up from a fire hydrant. He has apparently done it around 12 times in the past two years, in which he was also sued when a cease order was ignored.

A private investigator was paid around $22,000 to file the misconduct the farm did, but a settlement was made, which had Selleck pay $21,000 to cover the investigative costs incurred.
