Koko Ware Vs. The Masked Patriot

From September 1986 to June 1994, Koko Ware was WWE’s “Birdman”, which made him a really memorable wrestler, but prior to that, he was already a staple of CWA, the Memphis wrestling promotion. In 1986, Koko made an appearance on the weekly TV show of CWA and that day, his opponent was The Masked Patriot. The match started in a heated fashion as Ware got backed into a corner and the Masked Patriot delivered an open hand punch. To retaliate, Ware clubbed his fists, whipped the Patriot into the ropes, and laid a throat crushing clothesline which knocked the Patriot out. Ware then delivered shoot kicks into his dazed opponent, hauled his limp body up and did a shoot brainbuster.

Taz Vs. Sabu

In the 1990s, Taz and Sabu practically built ECW, being two of the longest-running grapplers of the promotion. From 1995 to 1996, Taz had many promo shoots to try and coax Sabu into the ring, and at last, they were booked for Barely Legal, the first ever pay-per-view of the company. The almost 18-minute match was rather stiff, with Sabu’s nose getting busted from Taz’s shots and the two continuing to pepper each other. Down the line, the two wrestlers would meet again in the ring multiple times. In another match, Sabu’s neck got broken (again) as Taz dragon Taz-plexed his opponent through a table.
