When you look at your family tree, Jennifer Lacy’s sports career does not come as a surprise. Since her father Lee Lacy once played in Major League baseball, athletic talent has been running in her blood. However, Lacy opted to play basketball and even joined the WNBA in 2006. After several years of her professional career, Shougang decided to play in China for Beijing. Since 2015, she has nevertheless been a free agent.

As she plays a sport for an underdog national, Winifer Fernandez is not unlike most people on the list. The Dominican Republic is happy to have her on its volleyball team! Since 2012, she has represented the Caribbean nation and captured many hearts with her amazing performance during Brazil’s 2016 Olympics. She may not have led the team to victory, but she is nevertheless a national hero! She helped the team put gold on the bright side during the 2017 Bolivarian Games.
