George Clooney – Baseball

Although he came from humble beginnings, George Clooney is one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities today. He attended Augusta High School and told Esquire that he received good grades and enjoyed baseball and basketball. He wanted to be a professional baseball player and tried out for the Cincinnati Reds. Although it was unsuccessful, it reminded him that he was meant for greater things. His breakthrough came in “E.R.” and “From Dusk till Dawn.” He is the director of the commercially and critically successful films “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” and “Leatherheads,” in addition to acting.
