The actress went virtually unnoticed in the entertainment industry after starring in Starship Troopers. Before the sci-fi film, she starred in the 1995 film Showgirls as Angie. Although it was a commercial and critical flop, it is one of her only two other roles. The other is Mystery Men, a comedy film. Despite the fact that Starship Troopers was a better box office hit than her previous films, it was the final film in her acting career.

Despite the fact that he only appears in the film halfway through, this brave and dedicated Roughnecks soldier left an indelible impression on the audience. Sergeant Sugar Watkins is a devout Lt. Jean Rasczak follower. His entire character arc had centered on his bravery. When viewers have to say their goodbyes to this stoic figure, they are always heartbroken because he always gives himself away by slaying as many Warrior Bugs as he can on his own. As a result of his sacrifice, Rico and Ace are able to flee and survive.
