Shannon Cooper has received a lot of positive feedback about Grace’s diet, but she’s also gotten a lot of negative feedback about her lifestyle choice. Cooper doesn’t let any of it bother her. She’s more perplexed as to why so many people are making an issue out of it. Cooper doesn’t understand why parents can feed their children fast food without thinking about it, but he criticizes her for feeding Grace healthy food. “You do the right thing you think for (your) kid. Why people think it’s offensive to eat a plate of vegetables (over) a piece of bread – that’s bizarre,” she said.

While Cooper is unbothered by the criticism and continues to follow Grace’s Paleo diet, many others have offered their unsolicited opinions on the subject. Dr. Rosemary Stanton, a dietitian, told the Daily Mail Australia that the diet is a bad idea. “Putting a child on such a restricted diet is rarely a good idea, especially when there are no legitimate reasons for it… Trying to deprive her child of grains and legumes will make achieving a balanced diet much more difficult… Dr. Stanton warned, “I’d certainly sound a note of caution (to other people considering following her),”
