In 1917, Loretta Young kicked off her career at the tender age of two or three. She kept acting up until 1953. Over the years, she was nominated for an Oscar for her work in Come to the Stable and The Farmer’s Daughter. She and actor Grant Withers exchanged vows in 1930, but she embarked on a well-publicized affair with her co-star, Spencer Tracy. When she was only eight years old or so, she started to smoke cigarettes. In the mid-‘80s, she ditched the bad habit and gained 10 pounds.

Considering how popular she is, you might be surprised to learn that she was only active in Hollywood for five years! Grace Kelly stopped acting after getting married to Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
