Halle Berry rose to fame as a model after placing first in the Miss Teen All-American Pageant. She’s more than just a pretty face, though. In 1989, she starred in Living Dolls, and in 1994, she played Sharon Stone in The Flinstone Family, in which she received critical acclaim. Dorothy Dandridge won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Movie. Despite this, she went on to win the best actress Oscar for her performance in Monster’s Ball in 2002.
