Fur Trading Industry
These days, people approve of faux fur than the real deal. Is the trapping industry still operating right now? And more importantly, are people right to think that trapping needs to be banned?
You should know that animals are not only hunted for fur. In fact, nearly the entire body is used. After selling the fur, the carcass is then used as animal food, bait, and even compost.
History Of Trapping
The history of the fur trade and trapping is a lengthy one. The fur industry has been in operation since the 1700s! This was the time when trappers took their wares to the east to earn more money.
There was a lot of demand for different types of furs. On top of that, the west was overrun with animals. The animal population eventually declined due to overhunting and the industry started to go downhill.
