It makes sense that Jim Carrey is known for his humorous performances, but he is so much more than that. Carrey can handle more somber characters, and he tries hard to make his Dark Crimes performance stand out. Carrey plays Tadek, a police officer who is drawn into a sinister web of deceit, danger, and crimes. Unfortunately, the movie never quite fully exploits its intriguing plot. There isn’t enough excitement in the plot because it moves along slowly. Carrey gave a decent but not outstanding performance. In the end, this thriller is anything but exciting.

Let’s just take a look at how absurd this film’s tag is: “Chief Brody’s widow believes that her family is deliberately being targeted by another shark in search of revenge.” You don’t say! Is it possible for a shark to purposefully target a family? WOW! This Jaws movie had viewers seeking the nearest exit, which is unusual for a franchise that made millions of people fear the ocean. Bloodier shark attacks are the only thing that resulted from this movie.
