Allison became used to “fans” following her around both on and off the field. Whether it was at a track meet, or after hours at the beach with friends, it seemed like the young woman was always looking over her shoulder. More and more fan websites popped up daily, some promoting her success, and others just focusing on her appearance.

From 2009 to 2014, the amount of attention Allison was getting was extremely overwhelming. So much so that during those years, she barely existed. “At that point, I wasn’t the best vaulter in the country, so why should I be getting that much attention?” she said.
