Even though Burt Reynolds had been killing it in the box office for years, he struggled financial. Actually he struggled so much that he declared bankruptcy in the mid 90’s. Eventually Reynolds had to sell his house and the Burt Reynolds Ranch (where some scenes for ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ were filmed).
