Freight Farms: Grow Fresh Foods Worldwide

Hydroponic gardening is no longer strange to most of the world today. Growing food with lights, indoors, has become an acceptable way to boos crop production. Freight Farms seek to take to this concept to the next level by hand crafting and delivering modular hydroponic gardens to places in need. These systems will help ramp up food production that has been curbed by urban sprawl and global warming. This potentially world changing idea was summoned up by Jon Friedman. The project earned over $30,000 in order to fund their first unit. After production ramps up units are expected to be priced for around $30,000 each.
