America’s Got Talent golden buzzer was introduced in Season 9, with each judge being able to press the buzzer only once! Once per season! The golden buzzer sends acts immediately through to the live shows. Kodi Lee auditioned for the fourteenth season of AGT performing Leon Russell’s magical song “A Song For You.” Lee received an all-round standing ovation not only from the audience but the judges too. Lee was born with optic nerve hypoplasia which resulted in him being blind, he was later on in his life diagnosed with autism and Addison’s disease. However, none of this got Lee down- his musical talents managed to rake up such an uproar that led to his golden buzzer from Gabrielle Union. His audition video got over 50 million views within just two weeks. Lee went on to actually win the fourteenth season!

Grace Vanderwaal

Grace Vanderwall auditioned for AGT during the eleventh season’s auditions, she was only 12-years-old. She performed an original song that was about her identity titled, “I Don’t Know My Name.” Simon referred to her as the next Taylor Swift. An incredibly touching comment from Simon himself. Her audition video raked in more than 100 million views and cracked the top 5 trending videos on YouTube. No wonder, she received the golden buzzer from Howie Mandel and boy has she gone places. Grace is the second female to ever win AGT!
