Chad Le Clos

During the Michael Phelps period, Chad Le Clos was a serious contender and made it abundantly clear of his intention to take on the royal crown. At last, he fought and defeated his rival and win gold, bringing it back home to cheering crowds in South Africa. He decided to retire that year yet came back to participate again in 2016. Maybe it is not supported, and it is also speculated that it is one of the reasons why Phelps decided to compete when he already retired.
