Here is one fierce-looking dog known for its incredible strength. The American Bandogge is a cross between an American Pit Bull Terrier and a Neapolitan Mastiff. It is interesting to note that even though it is muscular, it was not bred for fighting. Despite this, it has been used in dogfighting in the past. Do not be fooled by the big brown eyes on this dog. The Cane Corso, sometimes called a Mastiff, is a huge and muscular Italian dog breed. This pooch can weight from 99 pounds to 150 pounds. It is said to be a descendant of the Roman fighting dog Canis Pugnax. Roman fighting dogs are obviously pretty unpredictable, so it might be a good idea to err on the side of caution and look at something else.
