The producers of the show also disapprove of most denim jeans. The only exception would be “dressy jeans.” As a matter of fact, the guidelines state that ticket holders should go for “business casual or upscale/trendy attire.” These would mean that shorts, tees with brand names on it, and beachwear are all outlawed from the set of the show.

No Coordinating Outfits
Aside from the ban on all-white and all-black getups, there is another big fashion rule implemented by The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Groups that color coordinate outfits are also frowned upon! Some people believe that this rule was put in place because the host does not want any of the audience members to take the spotlight away from her and the celebrity guests.
