Black Mamba
Kobe nicknamed himself the ‘Black Mamba’ due to the fact that the snake has incredible speed, agility, and accuracy. Another reason he liked the nickname was he watched Quentin Tarantino’s movie, Kill Bill, in which ‘Black Mamba’ was code for a deadly mission.

Good Grades
While he spent little time studying, Kobe was a brilliant student. He got good grades in classes and also scored high on his SATs. However, he made the decision to forgo college and pursue a caeer in the NBA. We think it’s safe to say that he made the right choice.
