Poem Turned Film
In 2015, Kobe wrote a poem called “Dear Basketball”. Two years later, it was the basis for a short animated film of the same name, which he also narrated himself. The piece won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.

In 2018, Kobe published his first book. It’s called The Mamba Mentality: How I Play. In the book, he describes his approach to basketball. Of course, the title of the book reflects the nickname he gave himself, The Black Mamba.
