No matter how close you might be with the Royal Family, formal wear is always required for dinner. If you think you’ll be fine wearing jeans and a t-shirt to dinner with them, be prepared not to be invited back.

Stepping Away
Strangely enough, stepping away from the dinner table is encouraged. Royals shouldn’t give a reason for stepping away. Instead, they simply say ‘excuse me’ and get up to leave. There’s no need to ask for permission.
