No matter if you’re a royal or not, you must always curtsy or neck bow to the Queen, and be subtle about it. It doesn’t need to be dramatic at all. On the contrary, it needs to be as quick as possible in a subtle and respectful way.

As a royal, never say ‘pardon’. Ever. The word is completely off-limits in the Royal Family. If someone in the Royal Family can’t understand or hear something, they simply say ‘What?’. No ‘pardon’. You have been warned.
