Laura is graduating, which is wonderful news but is she wearing a graduation cat instead of a graduation cap? On the one hand, there was obviously some miscommunication between the cake designer and the buyer, but on the other, perhaps Laura really does love cats and this was her favorite cat. Unless of course she’s a dog lover, then all bets are off. There are some cake mistakes that are absolutely horrible and need to be remedied, but this is actually quite a funny mistake which should be celebrated, even just for the absurdity of the final cake design.

You can be brutally honest when it comes to your cake messages, whether you’re a friend who totally forgot about another friend’s birthday, or a parent working long hours. This person was clearly not in the mood to bake a cake so this was whipped together quickly and shared the cake maker’s point of view. It’s no big deal because how a cake tastes is what’s most important and not the way it looks, right? If you decorate a cake using fondant icing, the dessert may look beautiful, so this cake maker still went with the better option at least.
