The fact that New York was an expensive city to live in was well known to Joe. Joe did his best to save money. So when he began to have to shop more often, he became worried because the food in his fridge and pantry was quickly gone. His routine did not change, so he had no reason to eat more than usual. But another person was living with him who might know the answer.

Joe’s girlfriend, Lucy, moved to his apartment recently. On cloud nine, there were two lovebirds, and this was a new chapter in their lives. But this problem with the missing food started to gnaw at Joe. Why was his girlfriend going to get his food? Why wasn’t she just asking? Joe knew he had to ask Lucy about the food that was missing. He hoped she wasn’t going to be insulted, but he needed answers. After all, he wasted his hard-earned wages by buying more food, not to mention saving for Lucy’s engagement ring.
