Shortly after, another idea came to Joe. Perhaps an animal had come in and stolen the food? But that seemed improbable. Because his neighborhood was not exactly the safest in New York, he always locked all the doors and windows at night. Not to mention that the food in the refrigerator was gone, and he knew that no creature could open the refrigerator doors. Something or someone else must have been it. Joe had enough to speculate about it – it was time to act. But Joe didn’t know what was coming.

Joe came to town with determination and purchased a security camera with night vision. He installed it near the corner roof of the kitchen, ensuring that the corner had an unobstructed view of the fridge and pantry. He knew he wouldn’t tell his girlfriend that, if it were her, he might catch her in the act. He pressed the record, and his day continued. But he removed the memory card the next morning and prepared himself to learn the truth finally. But he wasn’t mentally prepared, it turned out.
