Ken Spears

Ken Spears, the co-creator of the Scooby-Doo franchise for Hanna-Barbera, died of Lewy body dementia on November 6 at the age of 82. He and his business partner Joe Ruby, who died in August, created Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, Captain Caveman, and Jabberjaw. The duo also created Alvin and the Chipmunks, a Saturday morning cartoon.

Eddie Hassell

At the age of 30, Eddie Hassell, an actor best known for his roles in The Kids Are All Right and Surface, was shot out the front of his girlfriend’s apartment. Hassell appeared in Devious Maids, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Bones, and Longmire. He had a small role in the Ashton Kutcher-led film Jobs in 2013.
