In terms of staying power, the track record of celebrity relationships is not exactly great, but Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are one power couple that has what it takes to go the distance. They got together while filming Volunteers in 1985, and have been together through everything (‘80s hairdos included). Forrest Gump says, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” However, Hanks knew and the actor recalled, “When we first looked at each other there was definitely a kind of like, ‘Hey this is the place!’,” adding, “I think the result is that we got married for all the right reasons.”
