Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi

Cheerleading is not all rainbows and unicorns, and the competitive sport can become risky for some people, although not in the way you are thinking. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was a high school cheerleader in Marlboro, N.Y. before Jersey Shore, Polizzi revealed, “Cheerleading was my life in high school, but it wasn’t always easy for me. I started to be anorexic. There were freshmen, who were 70 pounds and I was, like, my spot as a flier is going to get taken away. So I ended up starving myself.”  Not only is she a professional wrestler, but Snooki is also a great dancer and has competed on the 17th season of Dancing with the Stars, in collaboration with newcomer Sasha Farber. We could see that her works valued her cheerleading background.

Paula Abdul

To say that Paula Abdul began in cheerleading is not really shocking. She was a cheerleader and a student with lots of honors at Van Nuys High School in Los Angeles, California, and she became a Laker Girl after graduating. From then on she has been nominated as the squad ‘s head choreographer. Although she looks very cute in that Lakers uniform, Abdul traded, for a seat at the table of the judge, her pom-poms as she became one of three American Idol judges. Abdul also performs at America’s Got Talent (season 14) with Light Balance Kids, Brian King Joseph, and Tyler Butler-Figueroa at the Finale.
