Luckily, people did not force him to speak if he did not want to. Earlier this year, Michael Finkel published a book about him called The Stranger in the Woods. The author visited Knight in jail when he was busy writing it.

The book was the result of nine hour-long conversation sessions in the prison. We can’t imagine Christopher being very talkative after living in solitude for so many years, but the book was written, so he must have been!
