Kevin Costner’s first love was the beautiful Cindy Silva, who played snow white at Disneyland at the time. The two met at California State Univesity, Fullerton, where she was named homecoming queen. The couple fell in love while studying together, and wed in 1978.

Costner explains that from the outside everything seemed perfect. People thought he had a great marriage and fans only assumed the best for these two. However, in his 1987 interview, he made subtle comments that the marriage wasn’t for him. He even said “I have a big thirst. A big taste for things . . . I hate the fact that I’ve lived by somebody else’s rules and I’ve somehow missed out on something.” For people that really knew the couple, the separation came as no surprise, but fans were quite disappointed
