The couple worked tirelessly to make Costner’s critically acclaimed film “Dances With Wolves” the hit that it was. Cindy was taking care of their children fulltime, but she also did stage managing and hosted plenty of film crew parties to support her husband. Soon after, the gossip magazines were filled with rumors of Costner’s infidelity. they tried to stay together, but the cheating became too excessive and in 1994 the divorce was finalized. Right before the divorce was publicly announced, Costner spoke about what was to come. He opened up in an interview with the “Daily News” about his strong temptations. He explained that there’s a big world out there and marriage is challenging. What’s more, he says that dealing with the aftermath of infidelity is even more difficult. Most people say he was known as a man who essentially came on to any girl he was attracted to. In 1989 he spoke candidly with People magazine about his “appreciation for women.”
