It was taken with Ivana, his first wife, in St. Petersburg, Russia back in 1987. Trump has a history with the country. This visit had been an exploration of hotel development at the invitation of Ambassador Yuri Dubinin. Nearly a decade after that, Trump tried to seal more deals in 1996. He asserted that he did not have connections with the country, which was proved false after it came to light that he had a deal to build in Moscow in June 2016. He also received a lot of financial support from a Russian source in the ‘90s. Donald Jr. said Russia composed a “pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. … We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Even though he has since fallen out of favor with people from the show business, he used to appear at the red carpet often. Who can blame him when he was a New York elite class staple from his birth? He has appeared in a couple of films in 1989 and almost always plays himself. He naturally became a bigger star when NBC got him as the host of The Apprentice in 2003. It was a big hit and made his “You’re fired” catchphrase go around. They also made The Celebrity Apprentice, its spin-off.
