Landseer
The Landseer comes from Switzerland and will set you back by $1,500. This dog breed has a coat of black and white. It can weigh as much as 150 pounds and can grow as tall as 31 inches. It has legs that are longer than the Newfoundland, although its jaw is squarer and shorter. This dog is part of the Mastiff family and has been used as a work dog in the past. It is related to the Newfies, but Kennel Club has noticed that it is not purebred thanks to its color pattern.

The Bernese Mountain Dog has its roots in Switzerland. If you buy one, it is probably going to cost you $1,400. These dogs weigh as much as 110 pounds! It is said that the Romans had been the first people to breed them but sent the dogs to Switzerland as some kind of gift in the past 2,000 years. The Bernese Mountain Dog has also been used as work dogs since it is good at watching, helping, and herding on the farm. It is in the same category as the Swiss Mountain Dog, although it is the only one with long hair.
