Tai Babilonia & Randy Gardner

Tai Babilonia and Randy Gardner had a unique connection that resulted in their success. They made history when they became the first U.S. champions in nearly two decades. Unfortunately, their success was halted after Gardner suffered from a groin injury resulting in their pulling out of the 1980 Winter Olympics. They were critics and fans favorites to win the gold that year. Despite this, the duo have maintained a close friendship and they recently celebrated working together for 50 years at the Ice Theater of New York. These days, Babiloia coaches figure skating occasionally, and Gardner dis a choreographer. Moreover, Gardner starred in his own show entitled Go Figure: The Randy Garnder Story.
