To avoid making any noise, she opened the door cautiously. Currently, her father was exiting his vehicle and making his way to the front door. The little fence that separated them could be heard cracking slightly. She took a few moment to listen to her father unlock the front door before rushing inside.

Despite the shed’s darkness, Abby was too terrified to turn on a light. It would undoubtedly be seen by her father from inside the house. She attempted to move while holding her hands out in front of her, but she kept running into things. She shouted as she then suddenly experienced a severe ache in her foot.
