Timothée Chalamet plays wayward prince Hal, who is the reluctant heir to the throne of England. He has given up his life as a royal and is living among commoners but his tyrannical father dies and Hal gets crowned King Henry V. Forced to live the life that he had tried to escape, the young king must now navigate the palace politics, war and chaos his father left behind. Hal must also deal with his past life’s emotional strings — including his relationship with closest friend and mentor, John Falstaff (played by Joel Edgerton), an ageing alcoholic knight. The King is directed by David Michôd, who co-wrote it with Edgerton. The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Sean Harris, Lily-Rose Depp and Robert Pattinson. Available on November 1.
