If a passenger disrupts the flight, the pilot can decide if he or she wants them to be handcuffed for the rest of the flight. Now this question has to be one of the most frequently asked and wondered by passengers. While us passengers only really notice trash being removed and the floor being vacuumed, that’s about all we see. Grossly enough, the FAA doesn’t mandate the seats, armrests and folding trays be cleaned. It is up to each airline how often they want to clean, and with quick flight turnovers, the conditions are often less than pristine.
