Pilots Do A Lot More Than Just Navigating
Did you really think all pilots did was navigate the aircraft? Think again. They are pretty much in charge when in the air, and therefore need to be quite authoritative. If a passenger disrupts the flight, the pilot can decide if he or she wants them to be handcuffed for the rest of the flight. In addition, if a passenger is sick and dying on a flight, the pilot is allowed to take their last will.
How Thoroughly Are Planes Cleaned?
Now this question has to be one of the most frequently asked and wondered by passengers. While us passengers only really notice trash being removed and the floor being vacuumed, that’s about all we see. Grossly enough, the FAA doesn’t mandate the seats, armrests and folding trays be cleaned. It is up to each airline how often they want to clean, and with quick flight turnovers, the conditions are often less than pristine.
