It was clear to Sydney that her neck was longer than other people, but not in a freaky way. She began to consider if she wanted to wear the rings and always be considered the “long neck girl.” After some time she realized she was actually attached to the rings.

Even though Sydney is not a member of the Kayan tribe, she chose to take on this challenge on her own. Sadly, it was tougher for her since she was already physically mature when she made the decision.

The Beginning
Sydney actually enjoyed the pressure on the top of her neck and shoulders. She was searching for comfort and exhilaration, and this was where to look. In 2011, she began wearing a tight-fitting copper necklace fit to her requirements.
