Muhammad became the first Muslim-American woman to receive an Olympic medal at those Olympic games! Her team won a bronze medal in fencing. Before becoming a very top-level player on the beach volleyball courts, Jen Kessy was a volleyball star at the University of Southern California At the Olympics in 2012, Kessy and her partner, April Ross won a silver medal. Jen Kessy has two daughters together with her husband, Andy Ces, who is also a professional beach volleyball player.
