April Ross
For over a decade, April ‘ The Boss ‘ was one of the best beach volleyball players in the league. In 2012, she won a silver medal with Jen Kessy, a longtime partner, and in 2016, a bronze medal with Kerri Walsh Jennings, another outstanding volleyball player. April Ross ends up marrying Bradley Keenan, who is also a professional volleyball player, and she holds a degree from Southern California University. Ross’s photo here is from the 2016 ESPY Awards. Hope Solo
Did you know that Hope Solo, the U.S. Olympic soccer player, wasn’t always a goalie on the soccer field? When she was younger she was a forward for her high school team. Solo switched over to being a goalie while she was playing in college and is now considered to be the best women’s goalkeepers ever. She has two Olympic gold medals to her name, which is well-deserved, as she let only three goals pass against team USA in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup victory. The photo below is from the EPSYs.
