Rowers Give Up A Medal
High school rowers, James Konopka and Nick Mead were on their way to winning a medal at a race. Then, one of the opposing boats capsized. Seeing as this was the Philadelphia area in November, the two rowers abandoned their medal and helped their opponents out of the freezing water. After they helped them out, they all finished the race.

Finishing The Race
At the 1992 Olympics, sprinter Derek Redmond hurt his achilles tendon halfway through the race and went down. For several seconds, he was down. The stretchers started coming out to the track, but the runner called them off. He wanted to finish the rain. His dad joined him to walk the last 100 meters together.
