Queen Bey opened the halftime performance of Super Bowl 2013 with a silhouette on fire. She emerged from a cloud of smoke and began performing her hit songs like “Crazy in Love” and “Love on Top”. Everyone was also thrilled about the unexpected Destiny’s Child reunion when Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland showed up to perform “Single Ladies”, “Bootylicious”, and “Independent Women”. They also used multi-media to show animation screens with Beyoncé duplicates running around for additional emphasis. This was one halftime show for the books!

2007: Prince

After the Janet Jackson slip-up, many were surprised to find Prince on stage. The musician was known for his risqué dance moves and lyrics, but they made the right choice to feature him. He delivered a powerful performance with “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Proud Mary”, “1999”, and the Jimi Hendrix song “All Along the Watchtower”. Fans were delighted when he delivered “Purple Rain” for the finale. Iconic!
