Harmon’s very first appearance on television was with his father. The two appeared in a commercial for Kellogg’s Product 19 cereal. It’s believed that Mark was able to get the part in the ad since his father had for a long time been the company’s TV spokesman.

Making his presence known in commercials didn’t end with Kellogg’s. In fact, Harmon worked with Coors beer to do more than 20 commercials in the 1980s. He became entrenched in the company that his face became the face of their brand of beer.
