The South Carolina Gamecocks compete in the SEC eastern division and belong to the Division 1 of the NCAA. They began when they played independently from their university. Ever since an incredible game that took place back in 1982 on Christmas Day, fans have supported the team at all games decorated in the team’s signature colors. With six bowl appearances, and too many top 25-final rankings to count in the SEC, the team also has a Heisman winner, four all-Americans, a national, SEC, and ACC coaches of the year.
