The doctor then informed her that genetic tests proved the baby’s DNA did not match either Rose’s or Gianni’s. She was confused, distressed, and heartbroken. “Surely this is a joke, right? A cruel and dumb prank “She shouted. The doctor sat awkwardly, almost as if he were at a loss for words. He was at a loss for words in this situation because it was so peculiar. “It seems that the wrong embryo was placed inside your uterus” This is so improbable that I have no idea how it could have occurred. Rose became infuriated upon hearing this lame response. She retrieved her telephone and dialed Gianni’s number.

One Horrible Phone Call
Gianni was in the middle of a great explanation about protons and electrons when Rose’s phone rang. “Ciao, bella, what’s the matter?” he asked, oblivious to the gravity of the situation. Rose immediately informed Gianni of the situation at the doctor’s office. His face dropped almost instantly. He gathered his bags and left the lecture without hesitation. On his way out, he overheard his professor say something to the effect of, “I guess I was boring him?” Gianni was upset, but he had more pressing concerns to address. He hurried to his vehicle and programmed the GPS with directions to the doctor’s office. This doctor was going to receive the full force of Gianni’s rage.
