During the 1950’s, TV game shows weren’t very fair due to secret assistance from show producers. A plague of scandals revealed the unjust behavior, and so, strict guidelines were instated. Jeopardy! contestants are now forbidden to make eye contact with judges, none whatsoever. The set is also not a free-for-all, areas are closed off even from the contestants.
