Kitchen counters are one thing more and more people are finding difficult to perfect. Joanna Gaines simply is not interested in thinking that speckled granite countertops are ok and thinks it is a hideous choice for any kitchen counter. Probably the biggest issue she has with speckled granite counters is that they have been overused over the years and time to switch things up – pick something a bit more creative.

Shag Carpeting
Ok yes, shag carpeting brings with it a very cozy feeling but Joanna Gaines is certainly no fan of these. She considers the design style should have stayed in the ’70s where it belongs. She jokingly made the comparison of the texture and the appearance of a shag carpet to that a wig. On top of that, she views it as having the same effect as if you were to lay some hairpieces on the living room floor instead. For most people, this is personal taste, but for Gaines’ its definitely not her “cup of tea.”
