In many countries just like in the United Kingdom, there is a freedom of speech/ information rule which gives the public and press the right to ask whatever they would like to. The Queen used her power to halt this law from involving the Royal Family and this gives them the right to withhold any information they would like or not answer whatever questions they do not deem appropriate.
