Many had thought that the group had disbanded but in the early 90s, the band decided to reunite and record more music. Deep Purple was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and officially sealed their status as icons in the music industry. Both Gillan and Glover are considered part of the band’s contemporary members.
